A lot of new cat adopters ask what is the best kind of litter box to buy! ❤️

I am a firm believer in stainless steel litter boxes!

Plastic retains odor over time. So when you think you need to change the kind of litter you use, I think the first thing you should consider is getting a new litter box.

Stainless steel costs more, but you save money over time if you plan to keep replacing your plastic litter boxes. With stainless steel, I just give it a good scrub with some dish soap every few months and the house smells so much better than it used to when I had plastic litter boxes!

With litter boxes, I always say bigger is better! Most of the litter boxes sold in stores are way too small. Get the biggest one you can and, in fact, you should have one more litter box than you have cats. So if you have two cats, ideally you should have three litter boxes, each in a different spot in your house. Again this isn't always possible so just keep this in mind and try to do the best you can! 😻😻😻
